Introducing a New Treatment for Hair Restoration: PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin)

Hair Loss Treatment in Sarasota, FL
As I have aged, I’ve watched my hair get thinner and thinner, especially on the crown ( top of my head). It, unfortunately, runs in my family. Growing up, I watched it happen to my mother, and now I am suffering the same fate. Hair loss can be emotionally difficult to deal with and it can have a negative impact on our self-esteem. Because of this, I have searched for treatment options to help both myself and my patients. Biotin and Minoxidil have only helped a little. I would like to introduce to you a brand new hair loss treatment called PRF. I have used it personally and with other patients and have seen considerable results.
How is PRF better than PRP?
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is more advanced and concentrated form of PRP (platelet rich plasma). It is used not only in dermatology but also in dentistry and orthopedics for decades. It is all your own blood. There are additives in PRP. Human blood contains red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. When blood is processed in a certain way, it will produce PRF. PRF contains growth factors, stem cells, fibrin and white blood cells. The growth factors, stem cells and white blood cells aid in the repair and restoration of hair. PRF has a higher concentration of growth factors than PRP. Also, PRP does not contain fibrin or stem cells. The fibrin in PRF acts as a glue to keep the growth factors and stem cells in the area they are injected into, where they are needed the most. The fibrin also keeps the growth factors in the desired area for a longer amount of time.
