There may be no other time of year when more people think about improving their lives than right now. As we leave an old year behind, many of us are thinking of things we can look forward to. We’re setting new goals and intending to mark items off of our Bucket List. This may mean finally dedicating effort into looking our best. If you’re in this boat, we’ve got you covered. Here, we discuss how Forever Young BBL is changing the face of aging.
What is Forever Young BBL?
This noninvasive treatment targets the tissue of the dermis and epidermis with Broadband light (BBL). The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has stated that Forever Young BBL is the first of its kind; the only laser treatment that can affect how the molecules in the skin express. Changing expression means that the behavior of these molecules is modified to positively impact tissue regeneration. In response to this energy, the targeted cells work quickly to improve the pigmentation, elasticity, and texture of the skin.
Forever Young BBL delivers invisible infrared light into the ideal depth of tissue to visibly correct the top layers of the skin while simultaneously revitalizing tissue at the molecular level. This treatment is commonly performed to address sun damage and the signs of aging on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.
Some of the concerns treated with Forever Young BBL include:
- Uneven skin tone
- Textural irregularities such as rough patches
- Acne and rosacea
- Fine lines and creases
- Large pores
- Facial veins and other vascular irregularities
Results
Clinical studies demonstrated that 2 to 4 treatments a year could substantially affect the behavior of cells in the treatment area. There is no downtime after sessions, and patients often begin to see improvements within a week after their first appointment. As cells continue to change their behavior, the skin progressively looks smoother, brighter, and younger. In one long-term study, patients who continued Forever Young BBL treatments for a few years looked 11 years younger than their biological age.
