How Does BBL Work?
BBL stands for “broad band light,” and the treatment is similar to intense pulse light therapy. No anesthesia is needed; the procedure doesn’t involve any incisions or even needles (patients report, at most, a light stinging sensation). You will be given eye protection to wear, and then a handpiece is placed against the skin. This delivers pulses of light energy, which helps to treat a variety of skin issues:
