How is Sculptra different?
Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen for results that can last more than two years. It is a biostimulator composed of poly -L- lactic acid, which works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra® helps stimulate your body to produce its own natural collagen.
What does this anti-aging treatment involve?
Sculptra® can take an average of 3 treatments performed every 4-6 weeks to achieve results. The number of treatments depends on how much correction you will require. It is custom tailored to your specific needs.
Sculptra® injections can be uncomfortable, so we apply topical numbing cream to help ease the discomfort.
Sculptra® is used to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds, and re-volumize the cheeks and temples. It is not used to plump the lips. You may not receive the injections if you are immunocompromised, if you are allergic to the product, or if you are pregnant or nursing
How long do the results from Sculptra last?
Once you have achieved the results you desire, Sculptra® will last up to 2 years.
The most common side effects include injection site swelling, tenderness, redness, pain, bruising, bleeding, itching, skin discoloration, infection, and lumps.
